Hadestown

Hadestown is Anaïs Mitchell and Rachel Chavkin’s Tony Award-winning musical at London’s Lyric Theatre. Drawing on the myths of Orpheus and Eurydice and of Hades and Persephone, it follows two intertwined love stories on a journey to the underworld and back. A live score blending folk, jazz and blues gives the production its distinctive sound, while the story explores trust, sacrifice, power and hope.
