The Truth returns to the West End in 2027 with Stephen Mangan and Ardal O’Hanlon
The Truth is heading back to the West End in 2027, with Stephen Mangan, Ardal O’Hanlon, Sarah Hadland and Janie Dee reuniting for a strictly limited season at Theatre Royal Haymarket. Florian Zeller’s Olivier-nominated comedy will play from 29 July to 16 October 2027, giving London audiences another chance to enjoy its sharp, fast-moving tangle of secrets and divided loyalties.
The Truth West End 2027 dates and venue
The production will run for 12 weeks at Theatre Royal Haymarket in London’s Haymarket. Performances are scheduled Monday to Saturday at 7.30pm, with Thursday and Saturday matinees at 3pm, plus extra midweek matinees on selected dates. Press night on Thursday 5 August is the 7pm exception. Tickets start at £30, subject to availability, and the official booking calendar is the place to check individual performances and current prices.
The show has a running time of approximately 90 minutes with no interval and is suggested for ages 12 and over. Tickets booked directly are e-tickets, which can be displayed on a mobile phone or printed before arrival.
Returning cast and creative team
Tony Award-nominated Mangan returns as Michel, with O’Hanlon playing Paul, Hadland as Alice and double Olivier Award-winner Dee as Laurence. The quartet first brought this production to the London stage in 2026 and will reunite for the Haymarket season. One important booking detail is that O’Hanlon is appearing in London until 4 September 2027; check the cast information when choosing a later performance.
The play is written by Oscar-winning French playwright Florian Zeller and translated into English by Christopher Hampton. Lindsay Posner directs. The creative team also includes Lizzie Clachan (set and costume design), Richard Howell (lighting design) and Adam Cork (sound design), as listed by the production’s official theatre page.
Zeller’s comedy centres on Michel, who is having an affair with his best friend’s wife while trying to persuade himself and those around him that honesty is overrated. As the lies multiply, the play turns romantic deception into an entertaining, increasingly intricate stage puzzle.
How the 2027 season differs from the 2026 run
The 2027 return is not a newly staged revival. Lindsay Posner’s production is coming back after its sold-out 2026 season at the Apollo Theatre, retaining the four leading actors and principal creative team. The main change is its move to Theatre Royal Haymarket for a new 12-week booking period.
