Full casting announced for Speculations at Marylebone Theatre

The Marylebone Theatre has announced the complete cast for Speculations, Torben Betts’ new political thriller about journalist Dorothy Kilgallen’s investigation into some of America’s most notorious deaths. The world premiere stars Janie Dee and is directed by Trevor Nunn.

Full cast

Dee plays Kilgallen, with Jolyon Coy as Robert F. Kennedy, Natalie Dunne as Marilyn Monroe, Gloria Obianyo as Flo Jackson, Joseph Potter as Lee Harvey Oswald and Ferdy Roberts as Carlos Marcello. The cast and character details are listed on the official Marylebone Theatre production page.

Set in New York in 1965, the play follows Kilgallen as she pursues a story linking the deaths of Marilyn Monroe, John F. Kennedy and Lee Harvey Oswald. The theatre describes her investigation as a journey from Hollywood to the White House and the New Orleans underworld, with the pressure increasing as she gets closer to the truth.

Creative team and venue

Speculations is presented by Wild Yak and Marylebone Theatre. The production team includes Lee Newby (set and costume design), Gregory Clarke (sound design and composition), Johanna Town (lighting design) and Nadine Rennie CDG (casting).

Performances are scheduled at Marylebone Theatre from 30 October to 3 January, with a captioned performance on 24 November at 7:30pm. Performance availability and booking details are provided through the venue’s official ticketing page.

With a celebrated leading performer, a distinguished director and a newly announced ensemble, the production offers London audiences a fresh stage exploration of one journalist’s search for answers behind three twentieth-century American mysteries.
